CHAPTER SEVEN
~Chrissy~
The show was amazing and never in my life had I ever felt such a high. I
really wish that I was the one singing but nevertheless being out there
on stage and feeling the electricity that was in the air was
breathtaking. I continued with my thoughts walking back to where Liz,
Beth, and I got ready when I heard her.
“CHRISSY!”
I cringed a little because not only was there excitement in her voice
but also a little bit of anger. O’well that is just the price I have to
pay for the enjoyment of shock that was registered on her face when she
realized it was me up there. I turned around and looked at her.
“Hey Rissa,” I said keeping my cool but grinning from ear to ear.
“You are so dead!” she laughed taking off after me.
I started laughing and took off running nearly knocking Brian down in
the process.
“Hey what’s going on?” Howie stuck his head out of his dressing room at
the wrong time because the next thing I knew Riss had ran smack into him
which gave me a little more of a lead on her.
“CHRISSY GET BACK HERE!”
I was shocked when I looked over my shoulder to see her still chasing me
and Brian and Nick were helping Howie off the ground. I turned back
around and saw AJ standing there talking to Liz. He had his back to me
so I just conveniently jumped on his back.
“Hey!”
“Hello AJ. Turn around please,” I said innocently.
He did as I asked and was standing face to face with Riss. He looked at
her then up at me now that he was supporting my legs. “May I ask what is
going on here Chris?”
“You lied to me Christine!”
“I did not Rissa. I just didn’t tell you the full truth. I’m here
working aren’t I?”
She looked at me and sighed, her anger slowly melting away. “Yeah I
guess you do have a valid point.”
“Don’t I always,” I said leaning my head on AJ’s head. “Oh and you do
know that you ran smack dab into your idol and knocked him down right.”
Her face went bright red as she looked behind her to see Brian, Nick,
and a confused Howie walking up to us. I grinned from my perch atop AJ’s
back. Nick grinned back at me.
“What is going on? Somebody please fill me in,” Howie asked.
I grinned even bigger, “Well Howie this is my psycho fan Rissa.”
Nick and Brian busted out in laughter while Howie still had a confused
face.
“What!?” she said as she turned to me.
I hid behind AJ a little and smiled. “No, this is my best friend Rissa.
She had quite a surprise today and was trying to KILL me for it.”
“What is going on here?” a voice boomed from behind me and AJ. I turned
my head and smiled innocently at Kevin.
“Nothing.”
“Uhhh huh. Sure.”
“I’m serious Kevy. There’s nothing going on.”
Brian and Nick just laughed even harder and I knew most likely the two
of them were on the ground holding their stomachs by now.
“Then why are you on AJ’s back? And why is Howie looking like he can’t
put two and two together?”
“I was running from psycho fan, who, just happened to knock Howie down
as he stepped out of his dressing room to see what was going on,” I
stated as serious as I could with out laughing which really didn’t work.
AJ set me back down on the floor and I stood there in front of Kevin. He
just looked at us all when none other then my brother came up to us.
“CHRISSY!”
I turned and pushed past everyone and jumped on him, “MADMAN!”
He gave me the biggest bear hug he could muster and I laughed.
“Did I save you in the knick of time?”
I laughed harder. “Oh yeah. I think Kev was ready to go psycho on me
too.”
Kev rolled his eyes. “No just came to tell you all that we’re heading to
the hotel in five minutes and I just happened to walk into this,” he
said waving his hand in the air at all of us.
Riss just stood there in complete silence not knowing what to say or do
now. I looked at her then looked at my brother. “You guys just going to
meet us back at the hotel?”
Riss just nodded not taking her eyes off of the guys for a second like
they were going to disappear or something.
“Hey make sure she doesn’t die on the way home bro. Okay.”
He nodded gave my cheek a kiss then grabbed her arm and started heading
back to the front to where I guess they parked their car. After they
were swallowed up by the crowd that was backstage, I took off running to
where Liz, Beth, and I agreed to meet not saying anything to the guys
knowing that it probably left them standing there with tons of
questions.
~Rissa~
I followed
Madison
out of the swarming venue. I still couldn’t believe at how all the
teeny-boppers stuck around after the concert to see if they could
possible get a glimpse of the guys. I just wanted to shout that I just
got to see them. I couldn’t help but think of how happy Chrissy seemed
to be and that I might also get to hang out with the guys.
“Yo Riss, you getting into the car today or tomorrow?”
I looked at
Madison
and saw that he was already in the car and was waiting on me to get in.
I must have really dazed off into my thoughts because I didn’t even
realize we were here already. I got into the car for the short ride to
the hotel not really talking about anything but thinking a whole lot to
myself.
Once back to the hotel I sat on my bed and waited for Chrissy to return.
I just laid there thinking of how a year ago we saw them and threw small
teddy-bears up on stage for AJ and Howie. We put a card with each and
signed them with our screen names knowing that they would never figure
it out. Of course it had been all Chrissy’s idea and she bought the
brightest bears in yellow and purple she could find. She was so ecstatic
when AJ picked hers up as he ran off stage. I never did see if Howie was
the one that actually picked up the one I threw or not, but it didn’t
matter to me because I knew he most likely got it.
“Hey! Did you even hear a word I said?”
I jumped up into a sitting position to see Chrissy standing in front of
me laughing.
“No sorry. I guess I was zoning again.”
“Are you going to go clubbing with me and the guys tonight? We need more
girls to come. So far we only have Liz and she’s only going cuz Nick is
going, though she doesn’t know that I know that is the reason why.”
I smiled, “Sure, I’d love to.”
“Good we have like ten minutes according to AJ otherwise he’s leaving
us.”
I nodded and ran into the bathroom with my bag to get ready while
Chrissy got ready in the other room. I faintly heard another voice come,
I figured it was Liz and that she was here getting ready too.
We were all ready to walk out the door in five minutes. Chrissy decided
that we should go to AJ’s room to see if he was ready. We knocked on the
slightly cracked door only to hear him humming in the bathroom while
Howie was talking to him. Chrissy pushed open the door and grabbed her
mouth before she either screamed or said something really loudly.
“What is it Chris?”
“Riss look!”
I looked to where she was pointing only to see our bears that we gave
them a year ago sitting on the table by one of the beds. I shook my head
and giggled.
“I guess they are hoping to find the mystery girls.”
She nodded and walked in, “I guess so, and it’s too bad they don’t know
we’re right under their noses.”
Liz just looked at us and shook her head. I knew Chrissy would fill her
in later on the story beings at about that time a shocked AJ followed by
an astonished Howie walked out of the bathroom.
“What are you doing here?”
“Waiting for your slow ass. Nick is already downstairs waiting along
with Kevin and Brian,” Chrissy said standing in front of him with her
hands on her hips.
I couldn’t help but giggle because she acted like she was taller then
him but in all actuality she was about two inches shorter then him.
“How’d you get in here?”
“The door was open. Come on J quit with the twenty questions already. We
want to go PARRRTTTTYYY!” Liz said walking up to Chrissy’s side and
resting her elbow on her shoulder.
AJ groaned and motioned to the door grabbing a pair of shades and his
wallet off the dresser. He followed them out and Howie and I took up the
rear. I had to admit that this was going to be a very interesting night.
