CHAPTER ONE
"Girl! We just bought
3rd row tickets and backstage passes to the Anger Management Tour!!
We're going to see Eminiem, Limp Bikzet and Papa Roach!" 19 year old
Lucinda Wilson squealed, holding the precious tickets within view of
her 20 year old best friend of 17 years, Allison Williams. Both
girls were huge fans of all three and had just spent 10 hours in
line to get the tickets.
Allison laughed at Lucinda's excitement, but her face turned
slightly red from the stares of the people passing them on the busy
Orlando Florida sidewalk. "Yeah...I know, but Luci? You think you
could be a little quieter? People are staring." Allison requested,
tucking her curly blonde hair behind her ears.
Luci sighed and rolled her eyes. Allison's request was made quite
frequently, for most of the time, Luci was a bit to loud for
Allison's comfort. Luci's outgoingness, and Allison's shyness wasn't
the girls' only difference or likeness. They only similar thing
about there appearance was their dark summer tans. Allison towered
over Luci, at 5'10, and Luci was only 5'6. Allison had shoulder
length curly blonde hair, blue eyes, and was about 130 lbs. While
Luci had stick straight, hip length, black hair, gray eyes and
weighed only about 95 lbs, but she made up for her size with her
bouncy energy. She would talk to anyone, would say anything and was
impossibly outgoing and flirtatious. On the other hand Allison was a
lot quieter, and shyer.
"Okay..are you hungry?" Luci responded.
"Hell yeah." Allison returned, nodding as she surveyed the
surrounding stores and spotted a McDonald's across the street.
"Mickey D's?" Luci shrugged, and headed toward the fast food store.
Once in line Luci asked "What are you getting?"
"Probably a whopper and a coke." Allison replied, watching Luci scan
the people in the restaurant for hot guys, like always. "What about
you?"
Luci barely even heard the question. Five incredibly hot guys were
sitting toward the back. The oldest looking one had black hair, and
thick black eyebrows. The one next to him had a Puerto Rican look to
him, with wavy black hair. The one next to him was a definite church
boy with short wavy blonde hair. Across the table sat, what Luci
classified as a rebel with dyed blonde hair, black facial hair,
tattoos up both arms, and his chin pierced. Next to the rebel was
your classic All-American blondie. "Allie check them out."
Luci muttered, her eyes not leaving the guys.
Allie followed Luci's gaze and her mouth dropped. "Ohmigod! Luc,
that's-" Allie tried to state, but was interrupted.
Luci gave Allie her Cheshire Cat grin, and said, "I'll be right
back...just get me some fries and a vanilla milkshake." With that
she walked over to the 5 new prospects. "Hello boys." she greeted,
switching into flirt-mode, as Allie watched, stunned.
4 burly men sitting 2 tables away began to rise out of their seats,
but Mr. All American waved them off, and they sat back down.
"Hey." the rebel replied, reaching for her hand, and kissing it.
"What can we do for you?" asked the one with the eyebrows.
"Well you can start with you names and then your phone numbers."
Luci responded, smiling with a total assurance that never failed to
awe Allie.
The guys traded startled looks before the All American informed her
"I'm Nick," then he pointed to the church goer, "He's Brian,"
Then he pointed to the Puerto Rican, "He's Howie," then he pointed
to the one with the eyebrows, "That's Kevin, and he's A.J." Nick
finished by pointing at the rebel.
"What about you beautiful?" A.J. questioned, raising his eyebrows.
"Lucinda Wilson." Luci returned, pulling out a pen. "Now do you want
my phone number, or do you want to give me yours?"
"We'll take yours." Brian replied, handing her a napkin. Luci wrote
down he number down and handed it back to Brian.
"I gave you my cell phone number and beeper, but my friend Allie
normally has my beeper." Luci stated, watching Allie out of the
corner. She was almost to the front of the line.
"Well, I'm sure one of us will call you." Howie told her.
"Okay...I better go. I'll talk to...one of you then." Luci said with
one last flirtatious wave and smile before walking back to Allie,
who was ordering the food. Once Allie was done Luci laughed, "I say
they call by tomorrow night."
"Lucinda, do you have any idea who that was?" Allie inquired, her
eyes wide with disbelief.
"No, Al, who was it?" Luci sighed, having no idea what Allie was
rambling on about.
"They are the B-" Allie began to say, only to be interrupted once
again.
"Lucinda?" someone called from behind her, and Allie's eyes bugged
so far out of her head, it looked like they were about to fall out
of her head.
"Yes?" Luci replied, turning around to find Nick behind her.
"We were wondering if you...and some friends....wanted to come out
with us tonight to the...uh...club Howie owns. It's called Tabu...maybe?"
Nick questioned nervously.
"That's cool. Why don't you call me later with directions?" Luci
responded, twirling her hair around her index finger.
"Great!" Nick exclaimed excitedly. "I'll call you around 6:30!"
"Alright...bye." Luci answered, smiling at Nick's reaction, as Allie
picked up the food.
"Bye!" Nick echoed walking away.
The girls stayed quiet until they reached Allie's Elantra. "God
Lucinda! That was a Backstreet Boy!" Allie finally exclaimed.
"A what?" Luci asked.
"Backstreet Boy...you know 'I want it that way.'" Allie replied, as
they got into the car.
"Huh?" Luci pressed.
Allie sighed in frustration. She reached under her seat and pulled
out a CD. She put it in her car CD player, and pop music blasted
out. "THE BACKSTREET BOYS!" Allie yelled over the music.
"Ick." Luci sighed, turning off the music, and taking the CD case
from Allie, and seeing all the guys she had just flirted with. "Wait
a minute...how do you know who they are?"
"I have an 11 year old sister, Luc, come on! You remember Alyssa."
Allie teased.
"Yes, I remember your sister. So I just said I would go out with a
Backstreet Boy?"
"Yup."
"Oh."
"Are you still going?"
"Oh yeah...they are hot! I don't care what they sing, they are hot!
You wanna come?"
"Do I wanna come? Come on Luci! Of course I want to come! Alyssa
would hate me for this. I can't miss this opportunity."
