CHAPTER
NINE
~ TATTOO ~
"Drop me off here, please." I told the bus driver, two weeks later.
Everything had been back to normal, or as much as it could. AJ had
luckily stayed away.
"Who lives here?" asked Howie, as I paced excitedly in front of the
door. We were finally in Philly, and I was going to visit Kylie. She
had no idea I was coming. She thought I was coming in 2 weeks.
"Kylie." I told him as we approached the front gate of Kylie's
gigantic mansion. "Do you wanna come with me?"
"I'll come." Mandy replied.
"I'm supposed to go with the guys to rehearsal," Leighanne answered.
"Rehearsal" responded Nick.
"So when do the rest of us get to meet the famous Kylie?" teased
Brian.
"Tonight at the show." I told him, as we stopped.
"Your coming?" Kevin questioned stunned. I had never been to a
concert the whole time I had been with them.
"She loves y'all. What can I do?" I replied, opening the bus door,
and pulling Mandy out of it the bus. "Bye!" I walked up to the gate,
Mandy behind me, we slipped in between the gate, and ran up to the
house. We walked to the ladder, that was under Mandy's window. I
scaled it, and Mandy was right under me. I had always used it as my
entrance, since I was little. I had needed it because I had always
gotten lost in the maze of hallways, and rooms, trying to find to
find Kylie's room.<BR>
I quickly scaled the ladder, and pulled open the window. A girl with
bright purple hair was sitting on Kylie's bed. "Ky?" I asked in
disbelief.
"MAGS!!" she screamed, running to the window to hug me, but nearly
pushed me off the window.
"AAAAIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!" I screamed, grabbing the window sill, as
Mandy grabbed my ankles to keep us from falling. We stood frozen for
a moment, before Mandy and I hopped in the window.
"Your not supposed to be here." she announced dumbly as she hugged
me.
"I lied. I wanted to surprise you." I replied. She stuck her tongue
out at me. A silver stud glittered in the sunlight. "You got your
tongue pierced!!" I cried.
In response, she turned around and lifted the back of her shirt
slightly, revealing a tattoo. It was an angel. "Like?" she asked.
"Like? More like lolve. I want one." I exclaimed, "Let's do it
today!"
"You sure?" questioned Kylie, "Can you handle the pain?"
'Ha!' I thought. 'You wouldn't know pain if it bit you on
the ass.' I immediately felt guilty. She was just kidding.
"I hope so." I answered, as we left the room, "Oh yea... this is
Mandy. She's Nick girlfriend."
******
An hour later, I laid on my stomach gritting my teeth. I was getting
the last of the 2 tattoos I was getting. The one, Clark, the tattoo
artist was working on at the moment was a devil that matched Kylie's
angel. The previous one was a pair of feet, with wings, on my left
ankle. Above it was Brad's initials in Chinese. Under it was my
initials in Chinese. About 45 minutes earlier I had gotten my belly
button pierced.
<I>'Brad would definitely not like this.' I thought.
"Alright, missy, your done." Clark told me.
As I turned over, I gasped. My back had hit the cold seat a tad to
hard. "Damn, Mags. Your doin' way better than me." commented Kylie.
"I was hysterical"
"Yea." I replied, through clenched teeth. I stood up, and pulled out
my credit card. Clark stopped me, "Your friends paid." he informed
me.<
"You guys! It was $300!" I gasped.
"A birthday present." Mandy replied.
"Yea, remember your birthday is in three days. July 4th." Kylie
said.
"Still...." I began.
"Forget it." Kylie and Mandy told me in unsion.
******
Three hours later, we walked into the Spectrum. We had spent the
last three hours shopping, helping Kylie to get ready to meet the
Backsteet Boys, and dying my hair to it's natural shade : blonde.
"Where are they?" asked Kylie, looking around.
"Make-up, hair, or wardrobe." Mandy answered.<BR>
Suddenly, Kylie, pinched me. "OW!! What is your problem?" I cried,
rubbing my arm.
"I wanted to make sure I wasn't dreaming." Kylie explained.
"Aren't you supposed to pinch yourself?" came Howie's voice from
behind us.
"OMYGOD! HI!" Kylie squealed, as everyone else walked out behind
him. She pinched me again.
"STOP IT!" I yelled pushing her away from me.
"Your, Kylie, right?" asked Nick.
"Uh....uh.....uh-huh." Kylie nodded awestruck.
"Your hair!" called Brian and Kevin. Kevin continued "It looks
great."
"Thank you. I got a tattoo, and my belly buttton done, too." I
replied, shopwing them my tattoosm and piercing.
"Cool." interjected AJ from behind the guys. It was almost like he
was hiding.
"Thanks." I responded curtly.
"Let's go, guys." called a PA jogging by.
The guys said their good-byes, and rushed toward the stage entrance.
We hurried to our seats, in the front row, and met Leighanne.
The concert began, I sat though the perfromance, yawning. Suddenly,
about half way through, Kevin and AJ looked at each other, and
jumped off the stage. Before I knew it, I was onstage. I
danced with them for about 5 minutes, before I was led off the stage
by a security guard.
"Thank you." I told him, shaking his hand.
"What?" he asked stunned.
"Let's just day, I did not come willingly, nor did I willingly get
on stage." I informed him.
"Your not a fan?" he asked stunned, mouth hanging.
"Hell, no!" I laughed, walking toward the room marked reheresal,
pulling a CD out of my jean shorts,
I entered the room, put my CD in the CD player, trying to remember
the dance moves, I had once had down cold. Now, I could barley
remember them.
I pushed play, and put it on repeat. Hearing the famliar strains of
music, the steps slowly came back to me.
