PROLOGUE
Genesis Finch.
Every little girl wanted to be her. Every teenage girl wanted to be
anorexic or bulimic just to have her body. Every 20-something woman
was jealous of her. Every woman over the age of 40 despised her.
Who wouldn't?
With long silky blonde hair, high cheekbones, bright and shiny green
eyes, cute little button nose, pouty lips, long eyelashes, insanely
small waist, perfect ABS, long tan and muscled legs and size 38 C
boobs, she turned every man in the planet on by simply blinking.
Along with the perfect body the 23 year old had everything. She had
five houses just in the United States, one in Mexico, one in France,
one in Spain and one in England. Even the smallest and cheapest one
was valued at 1.8 million dollars. The public -- leaving out the 40
and over catagory of women -- loved her and couldn't get enough. Her
family was supporting and caring. She had dated all of the "IT"
boys, and could date them all over if she wished.
She had no real preference over the boys she dated, though. She
dated the bad boy rockers -- Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit, Tommy Lee
from Motley Crue, Tony Kanal from No Doubt, Robbie Williams, and
Eminem. She had dated the pretty boys -- Rich Cronin from LFO, Nick
Lachey from 98 Degrees, J. Brown and Sean Conlon both from the
British Boy Band Five, and possibly her favorite boy band boyfriend
JC Chasez from *NSYNC. Her newest choice of boyfriends was actors.
She had already gone through Freddie Prince Jr., Seann William
Scott, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and her newest beau of six months --
Josh Harnett. All of those boys fell within the time range of six
years.
How had she gotten everything, you maybe asking right now? No. She
didn't leach off of her montage boyfriends. She hadn't needed too.
She had what she owed her career too long before she had started
dating the stars. She had talent. One hundred percent talent. She
was one of the biggest -- if not THE biggest -- name in Hollywood
and had been since she started when she was 16. Modeling was her
talent choice from the beginning. At 15 she had been seen at a local
public pool, in her hometown of Dallas, Texas, by her now manager
Christine Hall. Christine had thrown her into the modeling business
and by the next year Genesis ruled the modeling world. She'd modeled
for Versace, Anna Sui, Christian Dior, Dolce and Gabana, Donna Karan,
Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, Victoria Secret, XoXo, Bebe, and many many
many more. Genesis's favorite modeling accomplishment though was how
she had landed the prestigious cover of the Sports Illustrated FOUR
times in a row.
At 18 Christine had decided to put Genesis into acting and Genesis
proved she was a natural at more than one thing. She was the second
highest paid actress out there, just barely being beat out by Julia
Roberts. She had stared in over 20 movies in her acting career and
had been in nearly 40 music videos.
She has to be a bitch you are probably telling yourself right now
but she's not. In fact it's been said she's the nicest, the most
honest, the most genuine person in Hollywood. No matter how shitty
she feels if she is stopped for an autograph she signs it without a
question. She seems almost oblivious to all of her fame, in fact.
Minus her nine houses, she rarely splurges her money on herself.
Much to the dismay of her manager she would rather shop at Kmart and
WalMart than she would at one of the stores she models for. She saw
no need for it since the designers she modeled for practically threw
clothes at her. She did love to give her money to charities and
especially her famiily and friends. When she was 17 she had bought
her family an eight bedroom mansion that came with an Olympic sized
pool, 9 bathrooms, a built in home theater, tennis courts, and much
to her brothers' like an indoor full court basketball court. For
mother's day Genesis's mother had gotten a silver jaguar, and for
father's day she had gotten her father a red Mercedes Benz. For her
manager, Christine's, birthday Genesis had surprised her with a four
bedroom house in the Florida Keys.
So Genesis Finch was beautiful, talented, and rich with people
falling all over her. In nearly every interview she had, Genesis was
asked what more could she want. Genesis knew the answer but never
let on. Maybe you will know the answer of that question by the end
of this, if you pay close attention. Just maybe.
